You can have antibody against Covid19 if you have been infected or have received the vaccine. It is detected through a blood test.
Quest Labs is offering 2 types of antibody tests; one that detects antibodies after illness, and one the detects antibodies post-vaccine.
We are offering antibody testing associated with past illness, including for children (10 and older) for whom there is no vaccine currently available.
Patients ages 10 to age 21 who are symptom free and at least 14 days post-illness.
We are in network with most major insurance carriers.
Most insurance companies are covering the lab fees both PCR and Antibody testing.
However, you should check with your insurance regarding coverage for antibody testing before your visit. The cost for our services are separate and coverage for this should be verified as well.
Self pay cost is $150. The Quest lab code for this test is 86769 and will be billed separately by Quest lab if not covered.
If we are out of network, your insurance may require you to visit an in network provider.
We are seeing patients one at a time.
You will be screened for COVID (temperatures and travel/exposure history) before entering the building.
Patients with fever or with symptoms will not be allowed.
Your child will then have a visit with the doctor to determine the appropriateness of the test and counseling regarding results.
Your child should be well hydrated for 24 hours before the blood draw.
Parents must be willing to cooperate with staff in a team effort to have a successful draw.
Currently, antibody testing is done on weekends 1pm to 3pm, Saturday and Sunday.
